A great way to get around Alice and explore at your own pace.
Stay on board for a seventy minute guided tour or hop on and off all day to explore Alice’s attractions at your leisure - The Old Telegraph Station, School of the Air, Anzac Hill (great views), Royal Flying Doctor Base, Reptile Centre, Cultural Precinct, Transport Hall of Fame, Old Ghan Train Museum, Olive Pink Botanic Gardens and the Todd Mall.

Uluru Adventure (884)

 

 

Stand at the base and look up in awe. Photos simply don’t do these wonders justice and to see them up close is a truly amazing experience.
En-route stop at a typical outback roadhouse, cross a changing landscape and enjoy a drink and lamington overlooking the distant Mount Conner mesa.
Uluru (Ayers Rock) - circle the 9km base of this massive rock learning the geology and legends, take a guided walk to a waterhole and see Aboriginal Rock Art. Visit the Uluru Cultural Centre.
Take a walk amongst the Olgas - truly equally remarkable monoliths.
Finally watch the beautiful changing colours of Uluru as the sun sets on this magnificent natural wonder for the billionth time.

Alice Highlights (892)

 

 

Tour the highlights of Alice Springs including a stop at Anzac Hill for some spectacular panoramic views.
Head out through the West MacDonnell Ranges and visit the memorial grave of Reverend John Flynn, founder of the Flying Doctor. See the twin ghost gums famously painted by Albert Namatjira.
Take a guided walk along Angkale Creek bed to Standley Chasm - a striking deep red cleft that glows with reflected sunlight.
Then take a guided walk into Simpsons Gap - see stunning rock walls rising from a sandy creek bed. Look for Rock Wallabies, Eagles, Kytes & Falcons.

Palm Valley (886)

 

 

Head out into the homelands of the Arrernte Aboriginal people for a real outback adventure.
Visit Hermannsburg - an 1870’s Lutheran Mission and learn the history of the area.
Travel by 4WD coach on the dry Finke River bed to Palm Valley, a strange semi-tropical oasis in the red centre. Bushwalk through the gorge and along the riverbed next to remarkable Livistona Palms and Cycads - remnants of an ancient landscape.
Walk along the valley rim with stunning views over Palm Valley. Enjoy a welcome picnic lunch before a short walk to Kalarranga Lookout for amazing views.

West MacDonnells Highlights Tour(879)

Usually dry riverbeds, vast craggy red sandstone gaps and gorges, and tranquil waterholes make up the spectacular landforms of the West MaDonnell Ranges. The presence of Aboriginal dreaming is always evident in the rugged clefts and chasms. Travel along the ochre coloured West MacDonnells and pass the John Flynn Memorial at the foot of Mount Gillen. Make a stop at Simpsons Gap and see rich ochre coloured rock walls rising from a sandy creek bed. Continue to Standley Chasm - a striking deep red cleft that glows with reflected sunlight and keep a look out for black footed rock wallabies along the rocky base.

Outback Cattle Station (882)

Experience the vast openness of outback Australia. View heritage listed pioneer buildings, an old ‘School of the Air’ classroom, blacksmith shop, leather room and more. See Kidman Cottage, built by Sir Sidney Kidman. Learn about the cattle industry today and yesterday and marvel at the pioneer spirit in this remote, harsh environment. Understand how the early pioneers battled the elements of heat, drought and isolation. Visit the Tropic of Capricorn.
