The Whitsunday’s rainforests are unsurpassed for their tree and plant varieties including some of the largest and oldest Strangler Figs in the world. Amongst the richest of Earth’s environments, this dense old-growth rainforest is home to native birds, pythons, eels, turtles, tree frogs and water dragons.
A must-see is Cedar Creek waterfalls and surrounding huge basket ferns, elkhorns, palms and trees festooned with climbing vines and colourful exotic fungi.
