Information Collection
Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd is the sole owner of users personally identifiable information collected on any of its sites
We wholly oppose any “spam-mail” practices and out of respect for the privacy of our Clients we present the options to either receive or not receive our e-mail communications at any time. Please also see the Choice and Opt-out sections.
Log Files
Like most Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Site viewer's “profile”
We store information that we collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third parties to create a “profile” of our Web sites viewers. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual viewers that details their viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information is tied to the users personally identifiable information to provide offers and improve site content for the user. This profile is used to tailor a user’s visit to our Web sites, and to direct pertinent marketing promotions to them. Viewers profiles are shared in aggregate form.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the viewer. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We use session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user’s hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.
If users elect to reject cookies they may still use our Web sites, with the main drawback to this being that the user will be limited in some areas such as being not necessarily able to participate in certain of our on-line Contests or Prize drawings. Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. See the “Profile” section.
Some of our business partners use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies, once we have given permission for them to set cookies for advertising.
Clear Gifs
We employ [or third party advertising companies such as Google and Yahoo employ] a software technology called clear gifs, that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users.
In addition, we use clear gifs in our HTML-based e-mails to let us know which e-mails the recipients have opened. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of communications and marketing campaigns. If users would like to opt-out of these e-mails, please see the Opt-out section.

Special Offers and Updates
We occasionally send Clients an e-zine Newsletter update on new special package holidays available. Out of respect for the privacy of our Clients we present the options to either receive or not receive these types of communications. Please see the Choice and Opt-out sections.
Service Announcements
On very rare occasions it may be necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send Clients an email accordingly.

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We share aggregated demographic information with our affiliates, partners and advertisers This is not linked to any personally identifiable information and is shared for evaluating the benefits such as of co-operative promotions.
Third Party Advertisers
Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd shares Web sites usage information about Clients and users with reputable third party advertisers for the purpose of targeting advertisements on its Web sites. Third party advertisers use cookies and/or clear GIFs on our site which allows them to recognize a user's cookie when a user visits a particular Web site. The information they collect and share through this technology is not personally identifiable.

Secondary purposes
Outside of partners bona-fide co-operative programs for a limited circumstance or a series of limited circumstances, it is Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd’s policy to not share Clients’ and users’ personal identifiable information for secondary purposes and we oppose “spam-mail” of any kind.
Third Party Intermediaries
We use outside postal or courier delivery service company’s to ship documents, and a credit card processing company to bill users for holiday packages they have purchased. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Business Transitions
In the event Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Users will be notified via e-mail or by prominent notice on our Web site/s for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information. If as a result of the business transition, the Clients’ and users’ personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given choice consistent with our Notification of Policy Changes section.
Choice/Opt-out
Clients who no longer wish to receive our E-zine Newsletter and promotional communications may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to “unsubscribe” in the subject line in the e-mail.

We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy policies of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy policy statement applies solely to information collected by Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd.
Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time our Web sites requests information from Clients and users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the recipient has choice whether or not to disclose information requested. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and postal address), and demographic information (such as post/zip code). Contact information will be used and/or shared with the contest/survey sponsors to notify the winners and award prizes. Anonymous survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and functionality of Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd Web sites. Users’ personally identifiable information is not shared with third parties unless we give prior notice and choice. Though we may use an intermediary to conduct these surveys or contests, they may not use Clients’ and users’ personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Tell-A-Friend
If a Client or user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our holiday special packages, we ask them for the friend's name and email address. We will automatically send the friend a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit the site. Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program. The friend may contact Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd at to request the removal of this information from our database.
Security
Holiday Special Packages Pty Ltd takes every reasonable precaution to protect our Clients and users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via our Web site, their information is protected both on-line and off-line.
When our Booking Request form asks users to enter highly sensitive information (such as credit card number) that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our Booking Request form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just ‘surfing’ or ‘browsing’
Aside from SSL encryption to protect sensitive information on-line, we also do everything in our power to protect Client and user-information off-line. All of our Clients’ information, not just the highly sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job function are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our Clients’ information is protected. Finally, the electronic servers equipment that stores personally identifiable information are in a secure environment and locked facility.
Enhancement of Marketing Profile
We may purchase third party marketing data and add it to our existing database of Clients and users to better target our advertising and provide pertinent offers we think our Clients’ and users’ would be interested in. We use this information to enhance or overlay the ‘profile’ of individual users. This aggregate marketing data is therefore tied to the users’ personally identifiable information. Correcting / Updating / Deleting / Deactivating Personal Information
If a Client’s personally identifiable information changes (such as post/zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a Client no longer desires our e-zine Newsletter, we provide a way to correct, update or delete / deactivate users’ personally identifiable information. This can usually be done using the online feedback form on Holiday Special Packages Web site or by postal mail at the contact address listed on the Web site.
Notification of Policy Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy policy page the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our Clients and users are aware of such change or changes.
In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a notice on our Web site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post a notice we will also e-mail users who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes to our privacy practices.
