"We loved the Colonial Club Resort. Its landscape and pools created a wonderful ambience and we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities.

Very impressed with how much was included on the tours.Guides were extremely knowledgeable and interesting.

Cairns Colonial Club Resort's meal arrangement (ie buffet and mains off a la carte menu) was great value. Meals away from 'home' were good too.

We have used HSP before and that experience was good (Surfers Paradise), but this one was outstanding.

It was great to see the company use a variety of different service providers thus keeping so many operators employed. The guides, bus drivers and staff at the resort were courteous and helpful. They knew a lot of natural history and were flexible when adaptions were needed.

We really enjoyed the visit to Atherton Tablelands and lunch there, but equally liked the Green Island and Daintree excursions and the visit to the Royal Flying Doctors.

You did an excellent job at providing such a varied number of trips. It was a very good combination and having the opportunity to book them in personally was great - allowed us to have the structure of an organised holiday with the flexibility of a more relaxed one.

We felt like we had seen an amazing area of Cairns and yet still had time to lay around the pool. The Colonial Club Resort was so picture perfect with its beautiful rainforest garden and so peaceful (couldn't hear traffic). It was like being in another world.

The resort bus to Cairns was extremely convenient and we made two trips into Cairns.

We had a wonderful time and are already planning a repeat trip."

A friend of mine and I have been on a couple of HSP packages: the one outlined above plus another on the Sunshine Coast. We thoroughly enjoyed both of them! Meals and Staff were great and we had great entertainment on one night. It was great having everything done for you and not having to organise everything. As I had a few health issues they went out of their way  to help me in any way they could from helping me use the phone at the front desk, to taking me up to breakfast in the goods lift instead of using the very steep stairs. I wanted to thank you so much for helping me organise such and amazing trip!  I enjoyed every minute of the HSP package from arrival to departure.  The Colonial Club Resort was not only beautiful but the staff working there are amazing.  So friendly and helpful – I was truly sad to leave!  The food and accommodation was also very impressive!

 

All of the tours on the package we created were amazing!  In the end I added on the trip to Kuranda (train up – 2 hours free time in Kuranda – Skyrail back).  My favourite tour by far was the Atherton Tablelands tour.  Although the Great Barrier Reef was breathtaking I would have preferred to do a dive but didn’t have enough time.  In lieu – I have signed up for Dive Courses back in NZ so when I return I can go on certified dive tours!

 

During my travels I meet some amazing people and will eventually return back to Australia stopping in either Melbourne or Sydney.  I won’t be able to stay for any longer than 3-4 nights so if there is anything you can customise or any great deals to either region let me know!

As it was our Honeymoon I surprised my wife by being picked up at the airport and staying at the Palazzo Versace for two nights (she only thought we were staying at the Crowne the whole time).

 

Right from check-in to check-out, the Staff were to most friendly and helpful hotel staff I’ve ever come across (even better than Palazzo Versace). Everything was sorted from the bags, car parking (we came in and out so many times I thought the staff would be sick of us but they were always friendly and smiling), package vouchers, meals and local information.

 

We stayed in the deluxe spa king room in the Gold Tower. The set may not have been as stylish and fashionable as the Versace but the room was still great. Large, spacious, comfy king bed and balcony with great views to over the beach.

 

We used all our meal vouchers at the Four Winds Revolving Restaurant because the buffet spread was just so huge and tasty.

 

I will definitely be back again in the future (maybe for our anniversary?). Fantastic Hotel!"

The Cairns Colonial Club was a very good resort. There were a good variety of trips and meal packages were very good. Overall our holiday was great value for money and well organised.
